Policies and Briefing Papers of the European Region of the WCPT

According to the European Region of the World Confederation for Physical Therapy's Charter, 2nd article (Aims and Objectives), Policies should be developed by the ER-WCPT to insure best practices.

According to it, the following policies have been developed and are constantly being updated:

The Health Policy, regarding the role of physiotherapists in health care, the physiotherapist’s role in the provision of services, prevention and health promotion, and the accessibility and quality of physiotherapy services.

The Migration Policy, regarding the mobility of physiotherapists. This means "the elimination of any discrimination based on nationality as regards employment, remuneration and other working conditions, access to accommodation and the worker's right to be joined by her/his family.

The Education Policy whose objective is protecting students by advocating quality assurance mechanisms and contribute to the concept of achieving an European Common Platform by highlighting the need for transparent pathways and equity in access to physiotherapy education programmes at all levels.

Promoting research and research careers within physiotherapy in Europe - Briefing Paper The purpose of this briefing paper by the European Region of the World Confederation for Physical Therapy is to promote and support research and careers in research in physiotherapy in order to contribute to development of the profession in the European region, and to inform Member Organisations and others about relevant key issues.
